My days with M&M

M&M is my project right now, he is a 3 year old TWH.
Here he is on his arrival, 4 months old.
He was lightly started last year as a 2.5 year old. Basically putting the saddle on and getting weight on his back. He was pretty good, a bit overexcited, but never bucked. He was only ridden about 6 or so times, during the winter I did take him to a clinic as a field trip and he started out quite up and ended the day a bit calmer. It was at this clinic that he learned he could bolt and back up very quickly. A couple new tools in his tool box!

As a yearling, being his basic goofy self, he has quite a personality and is always the first one at the fence. He has gotten huge since he was two, he is about 15.3 and looking very well put together.

I have been working with him consistently since March, he is going very well. He has learned to longe calmly now (he was deathly afraid of going in a circle?) We have gone from backing up and bolting to calmly going and being investigative in his surroundings. He is learning to trust his rider and seeks comfort in the bit now instead of fighting. He has always been the kind of horse to react first, think second, but he seems to be gaining a bit of confidence and looks forward to me working with him.

He is getting quite fun, I have taken him to my instuctors and he was like night and day, week one he was foolish, week two he was angelic. I can see the horse he is going to be emerging.
